Crooked in Canada

Matthew Gar-Wei Tam is the latest in a string of Canadians being busted by Australian authorities for trying to smuggle drugs into Oz. On July 10 Tam, and a co-conspirator from Hong Kong were charged for attempting to smuggle 16kg of ice hidden in two marble tables destined for a house in Kingsford. The tables were shipped from Vancouver.

That being said, Tam is the latest name to be added to a list that grows longer by the week. Canadian drug smugglers in Oz are giving Canadians a bad name, not only that, they’re looking pretty stupid.

For Canadians thinking about smuggling drugs into Australia the paragraphs that follow this sentence is directed at them, not that I really give a shit.

Don’t be an effing idiot by thinking you can beat the Australian authorities in the drug trafficking game. Save yourself, and your family the embarrassment you cause when you do get busted for drug trafficking. It’s safer to just distribute your drugs in Canada. Oh, and you’re stupid if you think you can get away with it down here too. Do your research, and learn about how Australia fights drug smuggling before assuming you can get away with smuggling drugs into Oz.

By the way, you’re giving Canadians, at least the decent, law-abiding ones, a bad name down here in Australia everytime one of you get busted by Australian authorities for your stupidity, and in the eyes of Australians you look dumber than a bag of hammers, know what I’m saying? The money isn’t worth the risk jackass!
