Fat Inmate Biggest Loser In Jail-Loses 45kgs In 8 Months-Sues Jailers

April 29th, 2008No Comments

When it comes to “our 15 minutes of fame,” even prison inmates want in on what Andy Warhol once claimed everybody has in them. Take for instance Arkansas inmate Broderick Lloyd Laswell, he’s manufacturing his own 15 minutes of fame by filing a ridiculous lawsuit against Benton County Jail because he lost 45kgs off of his obese frame.

When Laswell went into Benton County Jail to await the start of his trial for fatally stabbing and beating a man to death before he set fire to his house, Laswell weighed a massive 187 kgs. That can’t be good for anybody’s health, let alone his, and one would think that somebody like Laswell would welcome the weight loss. But for some stupid reason, Laswell isn’t happy about his weight loss, and has decided suing his jailers is a way to cope with his weight loss, which by the way, occurred over an eight month period. That adds up to just over 8 kilos a month, a weight loss that anybody struggling with their weight gain, would jump for joy about.

Laswell is an idiot, and the only reason he is doing this is because he can, and it’s a good way to stick it to authority for making him accountable for deliberately going out of his way to cause somebody’s death. Laswell doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on, and he likely knows that, but he probably sees suing his jailers for not feeding him enough as a game to get the attention he thinks he deserves.

The case should be thrown out of court.
