If the Liberals win on Tuesday (and that is a VERY BIG if), Canadians, especially those stupid enough to vote for the Liberals, will expect Stephane Dion to keep his election promises.
Why shouldn’t they, a promise is promise.
If for some reason beyond their control the Liberals are unable to fulfill their promises they will owe Canadians an explanation, and then off course suffer the consequences of failing to live up to their promises. I wouldn’t expect anything less.
That said the Liberal leader has decided that it would be in his party’s best interest to tell Canadians three days before they vote that should the Liberals win on Tuesday, the Liberal government might not be able to keep some of the promises their MPs made on during the election campaign, if only because of the “global economic crisis.”
While he didn’t come right out and say that his government had no intention of not fulfilling the promises Liberals made, he alluded to it by saying that the aforementioned crisis could slow the implementation of his party’s promises. He has also said that economic jitters could mean tough choices for a new government, that things like child and health care (the very two things the Liberals f**ked up in the first place) could be delayed into the third and fourth year of a Liberal government’s mandate.
If ever Canadians needed any more proof of why a Liberal government would be bad for Canadians at this time, and for the next little while, the proof is in the preceding paragraph.
How much more proof do Canadians need that the Liberals aren’t capable of running of the country? Not only that, but are Canadians stupid enough to vote for a party on Tuesday that is already telling Canadians that there is the likelihood that fulfilling some of those campaign promises they have made during the past few weeks will be put on hold?
Last but certainly not least, and this is in support of Liberal supporters regularly visit Crooked in Canada, I feel sorry for all of you especially since that three days before an election somebody in the Liberal Party of Canada, someone who obviously has a lot of space between their ears (likely Garth Turner) has come up with the idea that now would be a good time to tell Canadians that a Liberal government might have to delay fulfilling any election promises they have made so far, and will make in the next couple of days. How stupid is that person?
If the Liberals had even the slightest of chance of winning the election on Tuesday, or at the very least gaining a few more seats than they did in the last election, those opportunities have all but been snuffed out by some idiot who thought it would be a good idea to warn Canadians three days before they go to the polls of impending Liberal promise breaking.
Lol, nothing like shooting yourself in the foot during an election campaign, and three days before the polls open. And to think that there are people in Canada who really think that the Liberal leader isn’t a stupid man. Go figure.
