Remember John Wayne Bobbit, the guy whose wife (Lorena) took a knife to his “love muscle” and then tossed into somebody’s yard while she was fleeing the scene of her “crime of passion?” When that story broke it made international headlines, and late night TV hosts had a heyday with that story at the expense of the Bobbits, who of course are no longer together.
These days, the almost forty-something-year-old Lorena, who claims that she cut off her ex-marine husband’s penis in retaliation for a rape he committed against her, is a real estate agent and a hairdresser with a better command of the English language than she had back in June 1993 when she cut off her husband’s penis. She is also a mother of a three-year-old girl named Olivia, a product of a relationship she struck with a man shortly after she took a knife to her husband’s genitalia. Isn’t David Bellinger a brave man?
John Wayne on the other hand has become a D-List celebrity of sorts, having made a couple of pornographic movies featuring his reattached penis, and he is on the celebrity boxing circuit with Damon Feldman’s Celebrity Boxing Federation. The guy loves being part of a sideshow (freak show too), something that has grown on him since his first wife took a steak knife to his willy.
He was scheduled to fight Greg Smith late last year in Las Vegas, the man who punched out former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight, but after doing a half-assed Google search I still don’t know if that fight ever happened, and if it did, who won. I did learn however that he was declared medically unfit for a fight that was scheduled with Philadelphia comedian Bob Levy last November. Apparently Bobbit had drank too many Red Bulls and that in turn caused him to fail several blood pressure tests done by Dr. David Nadler, who along with an EMT decided that Bobbit was fit enough to fight.
In 2002 Bobbit was scheduled to fight Joey Buttafucco, the man whose teenage lover Long Island Lolita Amy Fisher put a bullet in his wife’s head, but that fight never happened either.
I get the feeling that boxing might not be his gig.
John and Lorena Bobbit’s story isn’t unique anymore, in fact after a quick internet search I discovered more stories about women cutting off their husband’s love muscle, some of which I have provided the links to at the end of this blog entry.
Then there’s the story about an Australia woman who, believing that she owned her husband’s penis, decided to barbecue it after she learned he was having an affair with another woman.
He was asleep at the time, and has since died from his injuries.
Rajini Narayan, a self-confessed “jealous wife” appeared in Adelaide court yesterday seeking bail, but it didn’t happen.
During her court appearance Narayan’s lawyer made it perfectly clear that according to Narayan her husband’s penis belonged to her, part of the marital assets, community property if you will. That as far as she was concerned, she had every right to do with her husband’s penis whatever she wanted to do with it, especially after learning that her husband was having sex with another woman.
I wonder what was running through the judge’s mind when that defense was presented. I know if it was me I’d be like, “Get the f**k out of here.”
Nothing like torching a cheating husband’s genitalia to make it unattractive and repulsive for the woman he is about to let give him a hummer, or play “Hide the Salami” with, right? That’s exactly why Narayan torched her husband’s nuts to make them unattractive to the “next” woman who wanted to provide her husband with sexual services only she was allowed to perform.
Narayan remains in custody pending the completion of an extensive psychological evaluation. Adelaide is all that much safer with her locked behind bars given that the cruelty and flagrancy of her offence is indicative of the threat she would pose to others. Rajini Narayan, like Lorena Bobbit, is one f**ked up woman, the difference being of course that Bobbit didn’t murder her husband, not that that makes her any less of a whack job.
In case anybody is wondering, the accelerant Narayan used was methylated spirit, a bottle of which was knocked over when the husband jumped out of bed with his nuts on fire. The ensuing fire caused $1 million damage to the townhouse the couple was living in, and an adjacent property.
The accused is the mother of three children.

TrialLorena arrest and was taken into custody.During trial, the couple has revealed details of their volatile relationship and the events that led to aggression. Lorena stated that John sexually, physically and emotionally abused her during their marriage. She also said that John's infidelities of shoplifting, and forced to have an abortion. Several witnesses provided testimony supporting Lorena's claims.
