In Chicago, local television, radio, and newspaper reporters hanging around suspected serial wife killer Drew Peterson’s home for the sake of story that only has legs because they are giving it legs.
There is absolutely nothing newsworthy about the creep these days, and yet local media in Chicago are perpetuating the “Drew Peterson” saga, if only because he is baiting them.
Wasn’t it just over a month and a half ago that we learned that Drew became engaged to a woman more than half his age, and that she had moved in.
Then we hear a couple of weeks ago that the engagement was off, that Christina Raines had packed up her belongings and “hoofed” it out of there, making sure she hit the morning TV talk show circuit on the way to wherever it was she was going to seek refuge from Drew.
It was on one talk show that she told viewers her engagement to Drew was staged, that she was an unwillingly participant in a publicity stunt that was nothing more than attempt by Drew to create some more publicity for him. So she claims anyway.
Well now… If that isn’t enough, the young dysfunctional mother, who herself is a fame monger in her own right as far as I’m concerned, has moved back into the Peterson household.
Well bully for her. I hoped she moved back in with a loaded weapon in her suitcase.
Of course, I’m sure Christina went out of her way to draw attention to herself as she walked up the footpath to Drew’s front door.
I bet she played up to the reporters camped outside as she entered the house.
I can just see the reporters camped outside the Peterson home now, stumbling over one another while trying to get a peak inside the modest home, in the hope they capture the moment Peterson loses control of his faculties and “loses it” on the new love of his life.
If they’re lucky, they might even catch a glimpse of Drew or Christina pointing, aiming, and firing at one another. Wouldn’t that make quite the headline, or, be a good way to lead off the 6 o’clock evening news?
Of course if the curtains are drawn on the Peterson home, the reporters won’t see anything like that, but you never know I guess.
Given the media scrutiny the retired cop is under at the moment, and especially since his third wife Kathleen Savio’s body was exhumed and her death ruled a homicide, there won’t be much of an opportunity for anybody to get much of anything in the way of video footage, or even a photograph through an uncovered window, not unless Drew forgets to close the drapes.
I can’t even believe I am blogging about this clown, but hey, his story is splashed all over the Internet and it draws a lot of attention whenever something new arises in the “Drew Peterson” saga. I just thought I would, you know, take advantage of the new attention being paid to Drew now that his very stupid fiancée has moved back into the home his last wife disappeared from after she was slaughtered, and then carved up for easy disposal.
There isn’t any evidence of that actually happening to his fourth wife of course, but I think that’s exactly what happened, and that Drew for the time being, and quite possibly until long after he dies, will get away with the murder of his fourth wife.
If she were still alive, there would have been some evidence of that discovered by now, right?
A woman like 25-year-old Stacy, a loving and devoted mother (according to her family and neighbours anyway) just doesn’t up and abandon her child, but that’s what Drew wants us to believe despite evidence to the contrary.
Come on Drew, how stupid do you think the rational world really is, seriously buddy.
For now it looks like he got away with murder doesn’t it.
I think it is pretty safe to assume that when Drew disposed of Stacy’s body, he made damn sure that there was no trace of what I think was her dismembered body, left behind.
He knows what it takes to cover up a murder, and he would have been meticulous in his efforts to ensure that neither hide nor hair of Stacy was ever found.
Can you say acid, or, wood chipper?
I don’t think he is going to be so lucky when it comes to the murder of his third wife however. I think he is going to answer for that crime and perhaps a few more murders before he ever answers for the murder of his fourth wife.
He’s a serial killer, albeit a cunning and crafty one, there’s no doubt in my mind about that.
If it turns out that cops are able to pin one murder on him, I bet they will be able to pin a few more on him, clean up some of those “cold cases” that have been haunting them.
We’ll see what happens over the next few months, perhaps the next couple years, but I myself am pretty confident that Drew is going to pay a high price for the crimes he claims he hasn’t committed.
Hey, he might even pay for them with his own life if somebody gets fed up with his smugness and nonchalant attitude when it comes to the murder of his third wife and disappearance of his fourth wife.
I bet there is somebody lurking in the shadows of Chicago who already has his or her gun sights on him right now, waiting for that opportune moment to end the “Drew Peterson” saga once and for all.
Wishful thinking on my part of course.
