Canadian Liberal Leader Threatens Prime Minister Again

Come On Prime Minister Harper, Call Liberal Leader’s Bluff

June 16th, 2009No Comments

Kick them while their still down Mr. Prime Minister, JUST SAY NO to any concessions the Liberals want your government to make to prevent your minority government from being toppled.

Shout out to all Conservative Mps; convince the PM to let the Liberals, the NDP and the Bloc pull the plug on the government, and force a summer election. The Conservative Party would be better of for it.

Really they would you know. It’s not like the Liberal Party has an effective and workable platform/agenda to run an election campaign on, something damn near every armchair politician in Canada can plainly see.

Oh hey, and by the way Crooked in Canada readers, fire off an email to each and every sitting Liberal MP, and ask them flat out, “So are you ready to cross the floor yet?” I did.

The email I sent to 72 Liberal MPs   has been copied and pasted at the end of this blog entry.

It is highly unlikely that any of the MPs will respond to my email, and I didn’t send an email to Ignatieff, Bob Rae, or Stephane Dion, if only because they really, really bleed Liberal.

After two attempts to send emails to S.Simms and T.Russell, I gave up, but 72 email deliveries were successful.

Can you say majority government Mr. Prime Minister?  Sure you can, and you know that despite what the Liberal friendly pollsters might be saying.

The Liberal Party of Canada under the leadership of Michael Ignatieff doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of preventing the worst-case scenario from happening if your party or those clownish Liberals force an election in the coming days, a minority government.

Think about it, the Liberal Party, at least in its current form, is still licking it’s wounds.

They are still hurting from the scandal that brought them down two elections ago, and of course the last election.

Then there’s the money factor. They just don’t have any, for if they did, they would have paid their bills from the last two federal elections. Ain’t that right Iggy?

Then there is the turmoil within the Liberal Party itself, the kind of turmoil that if push came to shove…

Aah think about it man, resentments are running deep in the Liberal Party, and despite the front they are putting on in public, there is just no way Liberal party members are getting on well enough with each other to pull off an election defeat.

Think about it Mr. PM, Michael Ignatieff doesn’t have enough support within his own party to knock you and your Conservative comrades off the pedestal a minority number of Canadian voters put you atop of, never mind the support the Liberal Party doesn’t have to win a federal election.

Come on Stevie boy, how hard can it be to pull the carpet out from underneath the Liberal Party’s feet, and at least win another minority government?

The Liberal Party of Canada can’t afford to hit the campaign trail so soon after an election. You know it, most of the Liberal Party knows it, and of course the Canadian voter who is paying attention to what is actually going on in the Liberal Party knows it.

The Liberals are merely trying to look like they know what is going on, and that they are actually effective enough (or in the least) to earn that taxpayer funded paycheque they receive for work that up until now has be totally ineffective.

Bottom line Mr. PM, the Liberals don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning a federal election this year or next. They don’t even have a workable platform/agenda in which to run an election campaign with.

Dear Honourable Member of Parliament,

Given the current political climate in Canada, and the fact that the Liberal Party of Canada has yet to live up to all its hype under the leadership of Michael Ignatieff, has the thought ever crossed your mind that now might be the time to cross the floor?

The reason I ask is because it would be in the best interest of Canadians (and you are supposed to be working in the best interests of Canadians right) if the “game playing” stopped, and MPs like yourself actually started earning that taxpayer-funded paycheque. Come on, how long is this ridiculous game of threats to topple to the Conservative government going to continue for. I thought that kind of game playing was over when the Liberal Party forced Stephane Dion to the kerb when it became apparent that he wasn’t capable of saving a floundering Liberal Party of Canada. Didn’t you think that too?

Nevertheless, you must be having some thoughts about leaving the Liberal Party of Canada now, and as a concerned Canadian I think all Canadians deserve to know just exactly where you stand these days, and if your support for the Liberals is beginning to wane.

Looking forward to hearing your response.

With warmest regards and wishes of luck,

A concerned Canadian and supporter of good governance and political responsibility

P.S. I hope that during your summer break from Parliament, you take time to reflect on what it is you as sitting member of the Liberal Party of Canada have done in the best interests of Canadians during the past few years. I think you will agree that it hasn’t been much, threats to topple the government aside of course.

Facing election showdown, Harper agrees to talk
