Gee, it has been a while since LTTE supporters have taken to the streets of Toronto, hasn’t it?

Maybe they have finally come to the realization that despite the crap the LTTE in Toronto (and you know there are some there) were feeding them and the western media about the Sri Lankan government killing and maiming innocent civilians they (the Tamil Tigers) were using as human shields, there are some things about the LTTE that weren’t just adding up, you know like the acts of terrorism they were blaming on everybody else but themselves.  If anybody was committing genocide in Sri Lanka, the fingers of blame should be pointed at none other then the LTTE themselves, who for thirty-years had about as much regard for human life as the al-Qaeda did when they hijacked a couple of airplanes and flew them into the World Trade Center almost 8 years ago.

The Tamil supporters in Toronto backed the wrong horse, and I think they are beginning to realize that, what with the RCMP investigation into fundraising for the banned terrorist organization.  Actually it might be sinking into the terrorist flag-waving refugees big time now that the Sri Lankan government posted on their news portal online that Tamils in Canada helped raise something like $US50 million quarterly from LTTE sponsored businesses in Canada. That’s a lot of money to prop up a terrorist organization hell bent (so they say) on getting their own state, sovereignty.

Of course for me there is little doubt in my mind that aside from propping up the terrorists arsenal, most of that money lined the pockets of Velupillai Prabhkaran and is wife who last I heard was living in exile on the southeast tip of India, though I have also heard rumours online that she has applied for refugee status in Canada.  The right thing to do if that is the case is to reject the woman’s visa application; if only because there should be little doubt in any Canadian official’s mind that she will carry on her dead husband’s legacy wherever she ends up.

Despite what I call a slaughter of the LTTE, their international network still has legs, and one Kumaran Pathmanathan (KP), also known as the “Merchant of Venice” is still trying to get his hands on funds that still lie in wait for the LTTE somewhere in Canada.

Using the Internet, KP has attempted to threaten several LTTE businessmen in Canada, London and Germany into transferring the funds into an account in an unnamed South East Asian country.

Whoa, and back up the horse here, you mean that in and amongst the 32 million plus Canadians, there lurks the danger of LTTE operatives disguised as businessmen? That doesn’t sound very promising for the security of what is a passive nation, and the way I see it now that the LTTE are unable to operate out of Sri Lanka, Canada given that to the best of my knowledge the largest Tamil population in the world is living there, is on a slippery slope.

There is little doubt in my mind that the LTTE is going to move its headquarters to Canada, if that hasn’t happened already, and the Canadian government might want to step up their efforts to weed out the bad Tamils from the good, and I don’t care what side of the Tamil divide the bad guys are on.

Of course those LTTE leaders hiding out in Canada are claiming that the LTTE is no longer in existence after the death of Prabhkaran, but I find that a little hard to swallow given the amount of support they showed for the LTTE during the past 30 years.  The RCMP and CSIS might be good, but I really doubt they have a handle on a situation they know very little about, and at the end of the day I think the LTTE are going to thrive in Canada in stealth kind of way.

At the end of the day the LTTE are going to regroup and reorganize in Canada, at least that’s my opinion, and while they might not target anybody but their own in a terrorist attack on Canadian soil, I think the LTTE are planning something big now.

As usual, and with my humblest apologies to the “good Tamils” in Canada, I could be very wrong about that or very, very right.
