Does this sound fair to you; Tony and Sharon Lee came to Canada a couple of years ago and paid good money for the privilege to do so.
They bought an acreage in Strathmore, paid their taxes and thought they were living the Canadian dream. To start living that dream they paid somebody $17,000.00. That’s a lot of money to pay for something that two years on, amounts to nothing for the Lees.
Tony gets laid off from his job this past February, isn’t allowed to find work elsewhere because of immigration policies, and the next thing you know, a financial institution is foreclosing on their property, they have had to give up their pets because they can’t afford to feed them, and while I can’t say for sure, they can barely afford to feed themselves. How’s that for living the Canadian dream?
In the mean time, a scumbag like Jackie Tran, a man who was ordered deported because of criminal offenses has so far been able to avoid his deportation by playing the system, lying his way through appeal after appeal after appeal.
You know what, the Lees haven’t been convicted of criminal offense, at least not to the best of my knowledge, and as far as I know, they haven’t been playing the system either, and unlike Tran, they are being told that they have to leave Canada. Worst part of that is, is that the Lees can’t afford to even pay for their airline tickets home, and to top it all off, they have given up their fight because they just can’t afford to fight anymore.
I bet if they got into some sort of criminal enterprise though, they would be able to fight, but they would have to get busted, do their time and be ordered deported first, and then they would be as fortunate as that sack of shit Jackie Tran.
I don’t personal know the Lees, but I feel for them, and would like help them out any way I can. Unfortunately for the Lees though, I am not really in a position to do that, but I am hoping that by telling their story in Crooked in Canada, somebody will come forward and offer to help them out with their problem.
