So I’m surfing ‘the Net’ when to my amazement I stumble upon a news story about that drunken nutcase Beverly Giesbrecht, the Canadian Islam convert who has ‘a thing’ for jihad, and the terrorists waging a war against the West.
Oh yeah, and apparently she has been kidnapped by the Taliban in Pakistan, or so she said in her last two videotaped messages.
By the way, her performance in those videos, priceless, worthy of at least an Emmy, or maybe a Razzy.
There is nothing remarkable about that particular story, other than the fact that it gets mention at the same time as a story about momentum building among Canadians trying to force the federal government into doing something to get another freelance journalist who has been kidnapped, Amanda Lindhout, freed by her captors in Sudan.
Anyway, there doesn’t appear to be much interest in the fate of Beverly Giesbrecht (Khadija Qahaar), and that’s why I was surprised to come across a news article from reporter Jane Seyd of North Shore News.
Among other things, she says in that article, she is saying that Lisa Monette, spokeswoman for Foreign Affairs, is saying that Canadian officials have a line of communication open with Pakistani officials in regards to the fate of Giesbrecht. I don’t know if I believe that, and I’m kind of leaning toward that not being true.
Nah…F*** it, I’m not buying Seyd’s story, and in fact, if Monette did say that about the contact between her department and Pakistan, I think she is full of shit too. I would fire an email off to the foreign ministry to get clarification, but when I did that about this same story about two months ago, well let’s just say I have yet to get a response to my query. I don’t see the point in firing off another one. Maybe I will. We’ll see.
Seriously, I really doubt anybody is really on the Giesbrecht case, but that maybe somebody in Foreign Affairs is paying attention to the news stories about the case. That attention would be ever so slight though.
I think the ministry has more important things to pay attention to than a story about a Canadian woman who sympathizes with terrorists, and is claiming she has been kidnapped by the very people she is oh so supportive of on her Jihad Unspun website.
I don’t think anybody in the Canadian government really cares what happens one way or the other to “Khadija”, and you know what else; I don’t think anybody at al jazeera cares about her either, otherwise they would have kicked the shit out of her story from the moment it broke almost a year ago to the day.
Being the reputable kind of network al jazeera likes to think of itself as being, if Giesbrecht was one of theirs, they would have moved mountains to win her release and they would have done that in a very public way, you know, for ratings.
I have maintained from the beginning of this drama I thought Giesbrecht was running a scam, and I still feel that way.
I have a contact in al jazeera, who shall remain nameless for ever and always, and he or she has told me that he or she knows nothing about the Giesbrecht story, that if there is a connection between Giesbrecht and his or her employer, he or she knows nothing about it because it isn’t being talked about around the office.
One would think, and I have no reason not to believe my contact by the way, that if Giesbrecht was on assignment for that media outlet as was early reported; then her circumstances would be the talk of al jazeera offices around the world, right?
My contact is located in the UK by the way, and like I said, I have no reason not to believe what that person shared with me regarding Giesbrecht association with al jazeera, which amounted to nothing more than if she working on something for al jazeera when she was allegedly kidnapped, he or she hasn’t heard anything about it.
Bottom line; there isn’t a connection and somebody made that part of the Giesbrecht story up, and unless al jazeera says otherwise, my mind is made up as to whether Giesbrecht was working on something for al jazeera or not.
As for the news story I stumbled upon today, I think the reporter who wrote that story made most of it up, or at least recycled parts of other news stories to come up with this latest story on Giesbrecht, which includes comments from ‘a dear friend’ of Giesbrecht’s in British Columbia, a guy by the name of Glen Cooper, who claims he last had contact with her this past July, and she didn’t sound well during their lengthy conversation, how come she didn’t contact the CBC, CTV, or anybody else? I would also like to know if Cooper could back that claim up, like show us a phone bill or something like that. It seems odd that if she were being held captive, that she would reach out to this Cooper guy. Nah, there’s something fishy about his story too.
To be honest, I don’t think there is anybody who knows what is going on with Giesbrecht, not that I think anybody in the Canadian government cares either, after all, like I said, she is a terrorist sympathizer. I bet the Americans are interested in her story too.
Oh well…
As far as I’m concerned, what little information is trickling out of Pakistan or wherever the hell Giesbrecht is, it is purely speculative, assumptive, as is my opinion about this entire drama. The only persons who know ‘the real truth’ are Giesbrecht and whoever else is on this scam with her, and we aren’t hearing shit from them either.
You know what, at the end of the day, I think Giesbrecht is more likely to die of liver failure (that drinking problem you know), or some other health complication before anybody removes her head from her shoulders with a sword.
Another Reason Why Omar Khadr and Now His Brother Abdullah Should Face American Justice
Before now, I only harped on how much I wanted to see Omar Khadr face the American justice he deserves, and how much I agreed with PM Stephen Harper’s handling of the case against him. As of today though, I am going to start including his brother Abdullah another Khadr the Americans would like to get their hands on, in my rants, and yes you bet your ass I think he should be shipped out, and kept out of Canada too. The entire Khadr clan actually.
Sadly, 26-year-old Lt. Justin Garrett Boyes became the 132nd reason why Omar and his brother Abdullah should be permanently removed from, or kept out of Canada. Aah f*** it man-the whole damn Khadr family should be kept out of, or removed from Canada.
Send the Khadrs back to Afghanistan for all I care, just keep them the f*** out. Canada will be a better place for it.
Boyes, who was just 10 days into his Afghanistan tour of duty, was taken out with a roadside bomb (IED), while two other soldiers in his unit were injured.
Canadian soldiers need support now more than ever
You know what, the Khadrs aside, I think President Barack Obama needs to pull his head out of his ass and send in the 40,000 troops General Stanley McCrystal requested almost two months ago. I think it’s about time that Barack buddy took the war in Afghanistan a little more seriously than he has been since he took office.
F*** he’s become quite the lame commander-in-chief hasn’t he? The Americans f***ed up big time when they voted him into the Oval Office.
Oh, and get this, Sting the musician not the wrestler, seems to think that Barack buddy is the best person to (are you ready for this America) handle the world’s ‘mess’. WTF, are you kidding me? What, has Sting not been paying attention? What a f***ing idiot, and he needs to put the drugs and booze away.
