Did you hear the story about a Vancouver father who attended the Internet School of Circumcision and decided that was enough to give him not the only the tools, but the skill to cut away the foreskin from his 4-year-old’s penis? Get this though; he had previously botched the same surgical procedure on his own penis.
You think he would have learned something from that experience, but he didn‘t.
To pull of the slice and dice act, he had to ply his son with wine, lay out some garbage bags on the floor of his garage, grab a box of Band-Aids, and some towels to keep his son’s delicate genital area clean during surgery. Oh and he had the presence of mind to visit his local veterinarian to purchase a special powder vets use when they neutered dogs and cats, you know to stop the bleeding.
You know what; the court imposed publication ban on this act of total stupidity should be lifted.
Canadians, especially those of Jewish descent, have a right to know who this clown is, if only to prevent them from accidentally inviting him to perform the procedure on one of their children at a “circumcision ceremony.” By the way, how can anybody in their right mind turn something like that into a party?
I also think there should be a sentencing recommendation that includes some intensive psychotherapy on the amateur surgeon now that he has been convicted of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
This guy is a hack, I mean whack job, and he shouldn’t be left alone with kids, ever.
What makes this man look even more stupid than I think he is, is his lawyer, who in his client’s defense put forth the argument that the case against his client violated his constitutional rights because his motive to perform the surgery on his drunken 4-year-old son was entirely based on religion, and that that violated any criminal intent.
Like get real Doug Christie, come back down to earth. His client was/is lucky the other charges he was facing were dropped.
I bet Doug Christie isn’t a very busy lawyer these days. He’s just stupid.
“Toss the case because it violates my client’s constitutional rights your honor.” How would Christie like it if he was the on the receiving end of an involuntary circumcision by somebody who learned how to perform such a procedure from the Internet?
