There are a lot of bad guy non-Canadians living in Canada thanks to that country’s lax immigration policies and procedures, or should I be saying it’s because of immigration officials and judges who just don’t give a shit when it comes to enforcing those policies and procedures?
Hmm, after giving that question as much thought as a judge gives when deciding to let a convicted criminal stay in Canada, or avoid deportation, let’s just blame the judges, Yves De Montigny to name just one such judge.
Speaking of that clown, he just decided that for the time being a gay U.S. soldier hiding out in Canada to avoid serving in Iraq, can stay in Canada for the time being, something about the army deserter being persecuted and mistreated in the military where the don’t ask don’t tell policy has always given gay soldiers an easy way out.
Hey, by the way, how long had Pte. Bethany Smith served in the military before she asked to discharged, and does the abhorrent conditions she performed duties under as a gay soldier, is there really that much credibility to those claims? I’m thinking, nuh-uh, I don’t f***ing think so. I’m thinking that Pte. Smith might be playing that angle up a little, to avoid what she knows is waiting for her in the U.S., a court martial and maybe a little bit of time in the brig.
Last I heard, the U.S. military justice has been going pretty light on AWOL soldiers being sent back from Canada, and that lesbian thing Pte. Smith has got going on for her, well I hardly think given the publicity her story is making in Canada and the U.S., she is in for a hard time if she is sent back to the U.S. to answer the desertion charge.
Come on; think about Judge De Montigny, do you think the American army would let that happen now, given the publicity of it all.
Get f***ing real your honour.
Somebody other then the judge that ruled in favor of the lesbian Pte. needs to seriously consider whether De Montigny is capable of serving on the bench anymore in an immigration capactiy, at least as it relates to matters of deportation.
This is the latest gaffe he has made while sitting on the bench to hear deportation cases, and at the end of the day, he is out there a little when it comes to such cases.
Case in point, that of Jackie Tran, who has been allowed to stay in Canada for now despite the fact that Tran is a convicted criminal and gang member. Tran was convicted and sentenced on drug trafficking and serious assault charges, did his time, and yet he is allowed to remain in Canada (Calgary) because he is the sole provider for his grandmother.
Judge De Montigny, in case you haven’t noticed or have been paying attention, Canada does have a welfare system that immigrants are abusing left, right and center at the expense of taxpayers, those who are paying your salary mate, and you know what, Tran’s mother, grandmother or whatever she is to him, might as well collect the dole too. Tran’s deportation should have been carried out by now, but bleeding hearts like De Montigny prevented that from happening, and at the Canadian taxpayer’s expense no less.
Hey, but it’s not all bad news when it comes to deportations and orders being carried out. Take that Sudanese guy in Calgary, Rex Okumu, he’s on his way out of Canada, at least for the sake of the old folks living in Calgary he had better be. He was convicted of sexually assaulting a 91-year-old woman in the nursing home he worked at. Sick f***er.
Okumu has been ordered to remain behind bars until he can be deported out of the country. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that he is prevented from accessing the immigration appeals process, given the crimes he has been convicted of, and the fact that he doesn’t deserve the same rights as us “real Canadian citizens” do.
You know what, there is something else on my mind now that I think about it, the decision that let’s immigration sponsors of the hook after they agree to support family members emigrating to Canada from wherever.
That decision is just f***ed, and it will open up the door for even more abuse of Canada’s welfare system, and for what, because another immigrant family, one with at least permanent residency status said that if you let my mother, father, aunt, uncle, or cousin into Canada, I promise I will support them; that they won’t be a drain on Canada’s already over-taxed welfare system.
Don’t get me wrong, there are legitimate reasons for immigrants to be place on the dole sometimes, but at the end of the day, at the very least some of, if not all of that money should be paid back.
You know what in the article I read about sponsors being let off the hook, I don’t recall reading anything that says immigrants with status in Canada have to work for the dole, or pay the funds they receive from Canadian taxpayers back, but then again I don’t think anybody really cares about stuff like that. Just bitch and holler about how much they (Canadian taxpayers) don’t like immigrants on the dole, the Tamils a perfect example of welfare fraud and abuse from what I hear, and that’s it.
Bitch, bitch, bitch about it is all they do. Canadian taxpayers have a bigger voice than that, and in this particular case, they should be letting the feds know that letting sponsors of the hook without giving taxpayers a voice in the matter is just stupid, unless of course there is something in place that ensures that those immigrants who have been cut off by their sponsors pay back any monies they receive from welfare.
There is nothing wrong with letting sponsors off the hook, provided of course any monies welfare forks out is earned, or paid back by the immigrant needing the handout. I bet there are a lot of volunteer organizations who could use more volunteers. I bet there are few streets and parks that need to be cleaned up, things like that, right?
Last but certainly not least in immigration news, a sexual predator has been deported back to his native Fiji after serving out his entire prison sentence for sexually assaulting two teenaged girls he kidnapped in Brooks, Alberta in 2001. Good riddens to Parvind Chand.
