The 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada are just a couple of months away, and the female ski jumpers looking to force their way into that Olympic Games, are really looking like they have landed one too many times on their head.
I have to wonder, do any of these women actually where a helmet that does what it is supposed to do, whenever they crash land.
After losing their battle in an Appeals Court last month (I think it was last month), in which the court ruled that the Charter of Rights does not apply to which sports are included in the Olympics, the women have decided to appeal that decision to the Supreme Court of Canada.
The challenge is turning out to be a cash cow for the lawyers representing the women, and you know what nothing is going to change for the women before the Winter Games begin.
However, I do think the women have made their point, and there is little doubt in my mind that they will be allowed to participate in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
The only people that have anything to gain now are the lawyers representing the women, and if it weren’t for the effects of those head injuries the women have suffered from launching themselves into the air, the women would see that for themselves and move on to something else to bitch and complain about.
