The dumbest thing I think Americans have done lately is electing that ‘Bama fella.

F*** America, hasn’t he made talking the talk work for him (it got him elected remember). Woohoo and Yankee Doodle dandy, hasn’t he shown you how ineffective he is at walking the walk.

It’s a good thing he has all those democratic gimps throwing their support behind him while they dictate how it is going to be America, that if you don’t like it, well TFB for you.  It could be worse though, right?

Yeah that ‘Bama admin, what a splendid job it is doing for you America.

Today’s blog post isn’t about American politics though.

AbeBooks – The Private Life of J.D. Salinger

Reading through my news feeds the other day, I happened across a story about warning labels manufacturers feel they just have to put on their products to alert Americans that “doing stupid” with their shit, is dangerous for them.

FYI-Did you know that there is a Wacky Warning Label contest in the U.S.

Yep, there is, and that contest challenges the Americans that manufacturers think are stupid enough to do exactly what their warning labels tell them not to do, to find the most ridiculous warning labels in the U.S. Now is that f***ing funny or what?

Oh and just so everybody is clear on this, there are some dangers that are so obvious, people shouldn’t have to be warned about them, but it’s the potential lawsuits that are the driving force behind the warnings.

Manufacturers are afraid of being sued, hence the warning labels that make you wonder, “F**k man, like how stupid are those people south of the 49th parallel?”

Thanks to author Bob Dorigo Jones, there is a book about such labels and it’s called Remove Child Before Folding: The 101 Stupidest, Silliest and Wackiest Warning Labels Ever. Jones is also the host of the annual Wacky Warning Label contest. Last year’s winner was “Danger! Avoid Death” which appeared on a small tractor manufactured by New Holland.

Below is Bob Dorigo Jone’s top ten list for the stupidest, silliest and wackiest warning labels he has come across.

10. A warning on a wood router says:  “This product not intended for use as a dental drill.”

9.  A five-inch brass fishing lure with a three-pronged hook on the end cautions: “Harmful if swallowed.”

8.  A letter opener carries this warning,  “Caution: Safety goggles recommended.”

7.  A vanishing fabric marker warns: “The Vanishing Fabric Marker should not be used as a writing instrument for signing checks or any legal documents.”

6.  A bag of livestock castration rings warns,  “For animal use only.”

5.  A label on a washing machine warns, “Do not put any person in this washer.”

4.  A label on a small tractor cautions:  “Danger!  Avoid Death.”

3.  A portable toilet seat called the “Off-Road Commode” that attaches to a vehicle’s trailer hitch warns: “Not for use when vehicle is in motion.”

2.  A popular SportsKids Super Selectionscooter used by children throughout the United States warns: “This product moves when used.”

And, his all-time favorite…

1.  A label on baby stroller warns: “Remove child before folding.”

Seriously now, what does that list say to you about how stupid Americans are?
