No Time Like The Present To Bring Back Death Penalty Canada

February 4th, 20103 Comments

If you would have asked me thirty years ago if Canada should bring back the death penalty, I would have said, “No f***ing way man–are you kidding me, what if [they] strung up the wrong person,” and that would have pretty much been the end of the conversation for me.

Ask me that question right f***ing now and my thoughts wander over to that story about that Australian c*** (as my soon-to-be ex-wife calls her) who murdered her two children the other day.

Then there is that f***ing refugee that was sentenced to a measly three years in jail for murdering Shawn Chiasson in Calgary.

The two teens that fled a Bosco Homes’ group home and then murdered a couple before stealing their truck, what are they going to get, half-dozen years behind bars, max?

What about that sick f*** Dwayne Schoenborn in British Columbia?

He killed what was it again, three children, out of spite. He should be strung up by his neck too.

And there is that Greyhound cannibal Vince Li, he who killed that carnie worker while he was sleeping, and then turned around and convinced “the experts” and the courts that God told him to do it, therefore he shouldn’t be held criminally responsible for his actions.  He will be walking the streets of Canada one day. Wait and see.

My answer is yes Canada “BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY.” The country wants to get a handle on murder right, so yeah man, what better deterrent to would be and wannabe killers is there. Just watch Canada’s murder rate drop then.

The government could run public service announcements on television, radio and in the newspapers. Put up signs at bus stops, on buses and in them. The signs could read, “Thinking about ending somebody’s life today?” Followed by the phrase, “Don’t do it,” with a picture of hangman’s noose as an exclamation point. Hell ya, put signs up in high school hallways too.

People need a better reason not to kill than the threat of a few years in prison, and the threat of being frog marched to the gallows fits that bill.

Anyway, that c*** in Millet, Alberta–I really doubt she would oppose being put to death for her horrific crime committed out vindictiveness and spite. Think about it for a minute, Allyson McConnell tried to kill herself after she killed her 2-year-old son Connor and his 10-month old brother Jayden in the bathroom, only to fail at that.

The child killer jumped off an Edmonton bridge, wanting to die, and Canadian justice should be able to finish that job for her. If the death penalty was in play here, there is little doubt in my mind that she would be sentenced to death, unless of course her defence team was successful in using Canada’s NCR laws (not criminally responsible) in getting her off.

Instead though, Canadian taxpayers will be picking up the cost of the Gifford, New South Wales woman’s accommodation for as long as she has a breathe left in her, and then of course there is the cost of her trial, including the psychological assessments, blah, blah, and blah.

The woman’s murderous act was vindictive and spiteful, and at the end of the day, her life should end as quickly as she ended her children’s lives when she drowned them in the bathtub.

    Hi Bonnie,

I am amazed at how casual Canadians, never mind the justice system is, when it comes to this kind of shit.

The f***ing morons who claim the death penalty isn’t a deterrent need their heads examined.

The threat of death is a deterrent in any situation. It keeps people from doing a lot of things and therefore I have no reason to doubt that it wouldn’t keep people from killing one another.

  • 3 Yes Yes, I vote to re-instate the death penalty also! // Feb 10, 2010 at 12:41 PM

When it comes to criminals that are insane such as we have been seeing these past 20 years or so… and getting worse, by all means YES… YES and not a moment later.. right now bring it on!!

I am one fed up tax payer too.. sick of forking the bill for useless criminals who have no respect for others lives, so therefore, why do we need them in ours?? I say Hang them All, better yet…………. Behead them or guillitine .. makes no difference to me, they are guilty, they are insane , they can not be trusted ever again… so by all means bring back the death penalty ASAP!
