Still Skeptical About Miracle Survivor’s Story
WTF happened out there? What’s the real story behind Rita Chretien’s survival story, not that the story the ‘miracle survivor’ is telling now is all fabricated. Not much more has been said about the case of the Canadian couple who ended up stranded in the Nevada wilderness.
If Albert Chretien set out three days after he and his wife found themselves fighting for their survival, how did things end for him and why did his wife not go with him or at the very least, try to find help herself at some point during the almost six weeks she spent waiting for her husband to return for help.
That’s a long f**king time for a woman of Rita’s age to be lost in the wilderness, but she could have been fit as fiddle, at least physically anyway. Mentally, emotionally, I kind of have my doubts about how fit she was, but at the end of the day she made it out of the wilderness alive.
I’m still struggling to get my head around the ‘the facts’ of this story of survival as Rita is telling them, especially since she’s the only one who can tell her and her husband’s story at the moment. For all I know, maybe she is embellishing the truth about what happened.
Naah, I’m having a tough time believing Rita.
Think about it, a fifty-something-year-old woman survives in a truck in the Nevada wilderness for fourty-three days after her husband started his hike to find help. That’s a long time for a woman her age to survive, and by the way, isn’t she recovering remarkably well in hospital and her spirits are high too after being trapped in in the wilderness for 49 days, of which only three she spent with her husband.
What’s inside Rita’s head now is anybody’s guess. The torment she must have went through for the 46 days she was alone in the wilderness . Only a mentally strong woman would be able to come out of it as quick as Rita. Good on her. There’s nothing like ‘mental fortitude’.
If searchers don’t find Albert Chretien’s body any time soon, I’m inclined to believe that this just might be an insurance scam or even murder.
Having said that, I think there is more to Rita’s story than she is telling investigators and police.
